These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Bashr.run ("Bashr", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, API, raw script URLs, and related services.
Service operator: Shubhransh
Contact: query@bashr.run
By accessing or using Bashr.run, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Bashr.run Does
Bashr.run is a script-sharing service for developers, DevOps engineers, and other technical users.
The service allows you to write or paste a shell script, select an interpreter and expiry duration, and generate a raw URL and a ready-to-run terminal command.
Bashr.run stores the script and serves its contents through the raw URL. The generated command downloads the script and passes it to the interpreter you select.
Bashr.run does not execute scripts on its servers. Scripts are executed by your local shell or interpreter, using the permissions and environment available to that process.
Bashr.run does not verify that scripts are safe, trustworthy, correct, or compatible with your operating system.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You may use Bashr.run only when you are legally permitted to do so and comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
You agree not to use Bashr.run to:
- Distribute malware, ransomware, credential-stealing code, or scripts designed to compromise systems or data.
- Facilitate unauthorized access, exploitation, surveillance, service disruption, or other abusive activity.
- Store or distribute content that violates applicable law or infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Upload content that you do not have the right to store or share.
- Publish passwords, access tokens, private keys, or other confidential credentials or sensitive information.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, or otherwise harm other people.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse-prevention mechanisms, Turnstile verification, or other security controls.
- Interfere with the operation, availability, or security of Bashr.run or its infrastructure.
- Use the service in a way that violates applicable laws, court orders, or valid legal requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring that the scripts you submit and distribute are appropriate for your intended use and that you have permission to share them.
3. Your Content and Responsibility
You retain whatever ownership rights you have in the scripts you submit.
By submitting a script, you grant Bashr.run a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, transmit, and make that script available through the service as necessary to operate Bashr.run, provide the requested raw URL, and support the service's technical operation.
This license does not transfer ownership of your script to us. It does not authorize us to sell your scripts or reuse them for unrelated purposes.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and share your content.
You are responsible for the content of your scripts, the destinations and people with whom you share them, and the consequences of running them.
Bashr.run does not guarantee that submitted content is accurate, harmless, lawful, or suitable for any particular purpose. We do not undertake to review or verify every script before making it available.
4. Public URLs and Script Security
A raw URL provides read-only access to the associated script. Anyone who obtains the URL can read the script while it remains available.
Bashr.run does not provide password protection or confidential sharing by default. The raw URL should be treated as shareable access to the script.
Do not submit:
- Passwords or authentication tokens.
- Private keys or credentials.
- Confidential business information.
- Personal, sensitive, or regulated information that should not be publicly accessible.
- Proprietary code that you are not authorized to share.
Before running a generated command, inspect the script and make sure you trust its source and contents.
A script obtained through Bashr.run runs with the permissions of the local interpreter and may be able to read, change, or delete files, access available credentials, communicate over the network, or perform other actions permitted by that environment.
You are responsible for determining whether a script is appropriate and safe to run.
5. Expiry, Deletion, and Editing Access
Expiry
Bashr.run offers expiry options of 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days, and 7 days. The default expiry is 24 hours.
You may change the expiry of a paste while it remains active and you retain editing access. Editing a paste does not extend its expiry automatically.
When a paste expires, its raw URL becomes unavailable and the script is automatically removed afterward.
Deletion and link resets
You may delete a paste before expiry or reset its link, provided you retain the required editing access.
Deleting a paste invalidates its raw URL. Resetting a link creates a replacement paste with a new URL and invalidates the old URL.
We cannot guarantee the immediate removal of copies that other people have already downloaded, cached, or stored elsewhere.
Editing access
Bashr.run does not require account registration. Editing and paste-management access depends on the editing credential held by the browser where the paste was created.
There is no publicly shareable editing link.
If you lose the relevant browser data or editing credential, you may lose the ability to edit or delete your paste. We do not guarantee that lost editing access can be recovered.
6. Technical Limitations
Script content is limited to 25,600 UTF-8 bytes.
Bashr.run supports Bash, POSIX sh, Zsh, and PowerShell, with command-generation options that depend on the selected interpreter and retrieval tool.
Support for an interpreter does not mean that every script will work in every environment. Scripts may depend on operating-system features, installed programs, permissions, environment variables, or external services.
You are responsible for checking script syntax, dependencies, permissions, and compatibility before running a script.
We may impose additional technical limits, rate limits, or restrictions where reasonably necessary to protect the service and its infrastructure.
7. Service Availability and Changes
Bashr.run is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, error-free operation, permanent storage, or recovery of expired or deleted scripts.
The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failures, security incidents, third-party outages, or other circumstances beyond our control.
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or service improvement.
We do not guarantee that a raw URL will remain available after its selected expiry, a deletion, a link reset, or a service change.
8. Abuse Prevention and Enforcement
We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable measures to protect Bashr.run, its users, and third parties.
These measures may include rejecting requests, applying rate limits, restricting access, disabling or deleting pastes, suspending access to the service, and responding to valid legal requests.
We may take action when we reasonably believe that content or activity violates these Terms, creates a security or operational risk, infringes rights, or violates applicable law.
Where appropriate, we may review abuse reports and take action without prior notice when necessary to address an urgent risk or comply with legal requirements.
We do not promise to monitor all submitted content or identify every violation.
9. Reports and Legal Requests
If you believe a paste violates these Terms, infringes your rights, contains unlawful material, or creates a security risk, contact us at:
Abuse and legal contact: query@bashr.run
Include the raw URL, a description of the issue, and sufficient information for us to assess the report. Do not include passwords, private keys, or other secrets in your report.
We may request additional information, disable access to reported content, investigate the matter, or take other appropriate action.
We may preserve or disclose information where required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Third-Party Services
Bashr.run relies on third-party infrastructure and security services, including Cloudflare, for hosting-related functionality, request processing, abuse prevention, verification, and operational monitoring.
Your use of the service may involve processing under the applicable terms and privacy policies of those providers.
We are not responsible for independent third-party services, software, networks, or systems that you choose to use with a script, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information and technical request data is described in our Privacy Policy:

By using Bashr.run, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in that policy.
These Terms do not replace the Privacy Policy or any consent, notice, or rights required by applicable law.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bashr.run is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will always be available or operate without errors.
- Scripts will be stored, retrieved, or delivered without interruption.
- Scripts are safe, accurate, lawful, or free of malicious code.
- A script will work with your interpreter, operating system, dependencies, or environment.
- A script or URL will remain available beyond the applicable expiry and deletion behavior.
- Use of the service will produce a particular result.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bashr.run and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses involving profits, goodwill, business interruption, or data, arising from or related to your use of the service.
This includes losses arising from running a script, relying on submitted content, sharing a raw URL, losing editing access, service outages, expired or deleted pastes, or unauthorized access to a script.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot lawfully be waived.
The application of this section depends on the law governing your use of the service.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Bashr.run, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of another person's rights, or content you submit that you were not authorized to share.
This section does not require you to indemnify us for losses caused by our own conduct to the extent such a requirement is prohibited by law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, our practices, or applicable legal requirements change.
We will publish the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes. Your continued use of the service is subject to applicable law and does not replace any notice or consent legally required.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are subject to the laws of [Insert the applicable governing-law jurisdiction], without prejudice to mandatory legal protections that apply to you.
Disputes will be handled by the competent courts or other dispute-resolution bodies in [Insert the applicable venue], subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer protections.
Do not publish this section until the operator has confirmed the appropriate governing law and venue.
17. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, govern your use of Bashr.run.
